Detours Music Product Terms & Conditions

Please read these product terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which Detours Music makes the products available to you.

The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out in the website. If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned.

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible and give a full refund.

Delivery will be made to the address specified on the Notification Of Payment Received e mail that we receive from Paypal when you have made your order/payment.

We endeavour to dispatch orders within 72 hours. Items ordered on Saturday and Sunday are dispatched on the Monday.

We send goods to virtually any address in the world. Delivery is made by Royal Mail First Class Post.

Shipping/Postage and Packing is included within the item price, i.e. shipping/postage and packing is free of charge.

We believe you'll be delighted with your purchase, but under the UK's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of receiving delivery.

To cancel/return an item:
To cancel this contract, please write "Cancellation" on the back of the Packing Slip enclosed with your order, wrap the package securely and send the package to our address stated on the Packing Slip so that we receive it within seven working days of the date that the item was delivered to you.

Please use the Royal Mail when returning the package. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service as we regret that Detours Music cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of returned goods. Therefore we recommend you obtain a certificate of posting from the Post Office.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. In the case of a defective product, please provide a full description of the fault.

As soon as we receive your cancellation order, we will refund the relevant purchase price for that item through Paypal. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Defective items:
You can always return items if they are defective for a replacement item. We only accept returns of items that have been opened if they are defective. Please see above for details of how to return defective items to us. Please note that all of our CDs will play on most modern CD players, but we cannot guarantee that they will play on all CD players. If a CD fails to play properly on a particular CD player it does not necessarily mean that the CD is defective. In such a case we would suggest you trying out the CD on several players before returning it as defective.

All payments are actioned through Paypal. Please read Paypal’s terms and conditions before purchasing items at our online store. PayPal is a secure, internationally recognised instant method of payment via credit or debit. Our shop has a secure server which connects safely to PayPal payment processing pages. Payment is instant, enabling us to proceed with your order as soon as it is placed. Via PayPal we do not have any access to your financial details, such as a bank account or credit cards. At no time will we request any such details from you.

These Product Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.

If any of these Product Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Product Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

All use of your personal information will be made in accordance with our Privacy Statement.
